Able Mothers: The intersection of parenting, disability and the law

This report explores the legal and policy issues affecting mothers and prospective mothers with disabilities. Consultation with a broad range of women with disabilities, including women with intersecting vulnerabilities such as race, poverty and sexual orientation informed this analysis of the unique challenges faced by women with disabilities. The report concludes with recommendations as to how law and policy can be improved in order to promote access to justice for women with disabilities.
