The role of PLEI in poverty law services
This paper explores the role of public legal education and information (PLE or PLEI) in the delivery of poverty law services, specifically within the context of the Ontario community legal clinic system. It reviews poverty law literature to highlight the potential of PLEI and then examines its role within the context of the clinic system. Finally, PLEI is examined from an adult education framework of informal learning to draw attention to the challenges that practitioners face when trying to help their clients.
