Connecting projects offer legal information training to frontline workers who serve diverse communities across Ontario on a variety of legal topics. As of December 2017, 35 Connecting projects have been funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario.
Connecting projects must:
- be partnerships between community agencies and legal services (often community legal clinics)
- target communities that don’t speak English or French, or are rural or remote communities
- provide legal information training; past projects have covered a wide range of topics with a legal component, including housing, immigration, domestic violence, child welfare, consumer protection, social assistance, and mental health.
